ACYI’s Youth & Parent Initiatives program area focuses on designing and implementing a comprehensive system of opportunities for youth and parents to be actively involved and engaged in their community. ACYI Youth & Parent Initiatives include the Adams County Youth Council (ACYC) and the Family Leadership Training Institute (FLTI). ACYC is a group of young people who promote community change by providing positive opportunities and creating avenues for meaningful youth engagement. FLTI is a public-private partnership that works with local communities to supply parents with the knowledge, skills and tools necessary for effective civic engagement. ACYC and FLTI develop countywide youth and parent leaders to provide necessary input and direction into ACYI activities.
