Mental Health

ACYI’s Mental Health program area focuses on coordinating the availability and accessibility of mental health services for families and children from the early childhood years through age 21.  In Adams County there are approximately 5,000 children and youth who face mental health challenges but are not receiving professional services or supports.  Additionally, as many as 40% of these children are either uninsured or underinsured, resulting in even more difficulties accessing necessary mental health services and supports.  ACYI Mental Health activities are aimed at increasing the availability of mental health services in the community and ensuring that children and youth-serving agencies have the ability to identify and link students in need with those services.
